Every now and then one stumbles across some music that is either old or new and either a brilliant recording or a brilliant performance and it would be rather useful to provide a resource here for sharing such finds. Music is, after all, the main reason we all spend our hard-earned cash on audio gear...
Some years back now HiFi Choice magazine used to include some promotional CD with their monthly magazine. Most of these were singularly uninspiring - typically aimed at those that Jeremy Clarkson would describe as "those beards in brown suits". There was, however, one disk sampler included one month. It was entitled "The Art of the Disk" and was from a little-known Italian/Swiss label "Edelweiss" and one of the tracks on it was from Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and was performed by violinist Nicolas Chumachenco. I spent years searching locally and on various trips abroad for a copy of the full Four Seasons by Chumachenco (the CD only included an excerpt) - but eventually gave up. Recently, I discovered a few YouTube clips with Chumachenco - now director of the Orquesta de C?mara Reina Sof?a (Queen Sofia Chamber Orchestra - Spain) (aka OCRS).
Chumachenco's interpretation, arrangement and performance on this movement from Vivaldi's Four Seasons is one of my all-time favourite renditions - check out YouTube clip below:

So, if anyone on this forum has also stumbled over this orchestra and knows where I can get a CD (not download) of the full Four Seasons, I'd appreciate a link...
