We've been talking about getting a friend for Meneer, our XXX Jack Russel. He's almost 7 years old now, but it a full state of repair, ghoons an' all. Friendly guy that barks only at things outside the fence and would rather endure a full internal examination by a 1yr old than snap. He had his shots and that was the last time he needed a vet. Gotto love those mongrels for being hardy. 
Anyway, we had a stint with another crossed out lab lookalike, but Meneer got fed up with him stealing the food and getting all the attention. Long story, but he seem to have found himself a new home nearby....
So all this talk of dogs got me thinking that if we want to get a dog, we better do it soon so the dog can be ready for the wide outdoors, comes winter. The house is for people and the dog house for dogs. (in our house at least!)
