Seems to be some interest in this one. Nosnipelimit, kamikazi are both doing something similar:
My son is commissioning a drone for robot-controlled multispectral aerial photography. He needs to do 1800km2 vegetation analysis (he's doing his masters at Wits). He's also been asked to help with the rhino anti-poaching initiative.
It's an XUAV Talon with dual multispectral cameras, GPS, telemetry, Arduino guidance system and autopilot, etc. 1.7m wing span, very low wing loading. 12cm wide load bay interior, 1.5kg carrying capacity. 1hr flight duration at 40km/h. The cameras, plus autopilot, GPS, telemetry etc only weigh 400g! Cool kit!
