So, as per the 'financial pinch' thread elsewhere here, I suspended my DSTV account a few months back after the LNB went faulty and there just wasn't money to spring for it, and the package I was on was so full of rubbish and repeats I decided it wasn't worth it. But having recently had to pay my month SABC licence I decided that if I have to pay that I might as well get the DSTV entry-level package so that I can say at least I'm getting something for the money!  :ticked:

So I take the LNB a buddy of mine gave me, take old one off, put new one in its place. Very easy process, nothing needs/has been moved out of position. Plug in cable, plug cable inside into decoder, power up, get error message that it can't get signal. Check signal strength - 0%. Not 3% or 1% - 0%.

Swear a bit, back outside, replace new LNB with old LNB - same process, same result - 0% signal.

Suggestions? Nothing has been moved since I suspended my package with DSTV. All I did was unplug the decoder and pack it away. Replacing the LNB is as simple as unscrewing the bracket that holds it in place, remove it, put new one in exact same place and screw bracket on, plug in cable. I could understand a possibly poor signal if something had somehow moved...but 0%??  :headbanger:
