My SD decoder packed up this afternoon, error code 8118. Flash erase - manual and auto didn't make any difference, so I guess it's time for a HD piece of crap.
Questions:
1) Is there a non-PVR, HD decoder?
2) In the event 1 above = No, which HD PVR should I get (understand UEC make Pace look like Nobel prizewinners)
3) I presume the twin LNB for HD uses RG6 cable?
4) Is there a slimline RG6 cable that is suitable for HD?
5) I have a 19mm conduit running in the wall behind the TV unit. Any chance I'll be able to squeeze 2x RG6 and a CAT6 cable in there?
6) best place to source a PVR in a hurry (my ordinarily friendly better half grew balls and developed a deep voice when I suggested she wait till Friday so I could source a HD piece of crap at wholesale prices). It's not often I HAVE to pay attention, but my survival instincts tell me THIS is one of those times.
