I haven't watched live TV in a few months, but we currently do receive SABC and eTV via analogue RF broadcast. SABC has increasingly been threatening to cut off the analogue broadcast signal. No major loss, but I would like to retain the option of watching TV. We are no longer subscribed to DSTV and have not used the Explora in years. However, I have always appreciated the good picture quality obtained via satellite. What are the the options - short of a renewed DSTV subscription - to utilise the existing satellite installation to access TV channels?
Is it worth trying to resurrect the Explora?
Can it be repurposed?
Keep or chuck?
