This may be a really stupid question to some of you, but it has never stopped me before ;D

We occasionally have a problem where the signal quality on some channels drop below 50% and during downpours drop even lower. I posted a related question on DSTV's forums and got the following reply:

"Your LNB local oscillator is drifting. Please contact your installer for assistance."

Anyone have any idea what this means? I would like to have a bit more background when I contact the installer as the installation was only done about three months ago.
