Got home last night, switched on my TV and lo and behold got an error 107-4. Service scrambled with no picture. After spending around an hour unsuccessfully trying to reach the call centre, or using their web service to reset the error, gave up and phoned again this morning. I absolutely detest Multichoice. After another hour on the phone, I ascertained that according to Multichoice, my 4 channel HD PVR had been exchanged for a reconditioned one yesterday (Tuesday) at 14:00 and my smart card been coupled with this 'new' decoder. This is completely untrue, as my decoder and smart card are both still sitting in my lounge, as they have for many months.

Anybody had similar experiences? I suspect that it was either an attempt to steal the replacement decoder, or to legitimise a hot decoder by swapping it for a recon one. Bottom line is, until Multichoice fixes this, I have no DSTV.
