to digress a bit from juggy's thread. different requirements.
I want to build two subs to augment my Open baffle speakers. no HT requirement. purely stereo and critical listening.
what I think would work best for me is two 12" sealed units that wont mess with the time delay of the OB
but i need help of the seasoned sub builders.
parameters of build
Drivers to cost no more than R1000 ea
sealed box between 45-60L
not interested in SPL.
doubt very much that it will ever do more than 60W,
20-60hz would be the ideal operating area. but wouldn't mind ability to go a bit lower if possible but not required.
will be using dedicated high power amps with dedicated filter boards
any suggestions please.
