I have a dual 505 tt with ortofon headshell. Got it ftom a colleague and trying to get it going again. The deck works, spins smoothly and speed seems consistent. The sound that comes out is muffled and garbled amd it seems the stylus is bust.it skates across the record and just looks like cantilever is damaged.
Can anyone tell me what cartridge this is? There are no markings as i would expect on an ortofon cart . The next question is then which stylus is a suitable replacement?
