Dual vs single speaker cabinets

Hi all.

Hope I'm posting this in the right section.

I'm looking to find out what the better option is between dual and single speaker bins is. I have recently started a sound hire company and would like to know the audio difference between the two. I currently have a couple wharfedale  400w passives, 500w actives and have recently bought some yamaha r215s.

Could someone perhaps help in identifying the pros and cons of the two?
