Dying CD player??

I think my trusty Phillips CD482 is nearing its end...

The sound is crackly and sounds like a really bad record!!

NB - Yeah, although I am a beeeg analogue fan I do have a few CD's... just ordered a nice Telarc CD "Super Bass" from Kalahari...  :'(
