Here I have a sample of music imported from a CD (Twilight [Original Soundtrack] Supermassive Black Hole by Matthew Bellamy). The audio code I used is Windows Media Audio 9.2 Lossless VBR Quality 100, 44 kHz, 2 channel 16 bit 1-pass VBR.  The Dynamic Boost has been used in such a way that lot of the audio information is lost.  When will audio engineers learn.

The 2nd image is a zoom into the area just to see a bit better information but as you can see... All the kak is pushed out of the song and for youngsters they actually like this type of sound for their iPods and other toys.

And finally, zooming is for real detail.  Many of these sound artifacts are present.

Now for the strange part, wife says she does not hear the problem.
