Hey guys
Hope you can help me with my "situation"
My daughter kept nagging me for for a set of over the ear headphones cos she complained the Scullcandy earplugs I bought her is a bit uncomfortable and keeps on slipping out and also didn't come with different size buds like some others do...
Anyway I went ahead and ordered her a set of Phillips @Takealot cos it was cheap! I remember years ago when I had a set of these (of which SHE snipped the lead!!!) it played VERY loud and had nice deep bass :groovy:
My dilemma is now that it plays very soft compared to what I remembered it sounds like... heck her and my Scullcandy buds plays four times as loud on her tablet, my PC and Phone! Another point I should add is that with the old Phillips set I had I used on my now dead AV receiver.
Question 1
Do these cans need amplified sound to sound the way I remember it should? Cos at the moment the amp I'm using doesn't have any headphone inputs and most of my neighbors do not have and amplifier I can test it on... (I reside in the infamous most dangerous place in SA Cape Flats Mitchell's Plain where most of them own a Game R799 out the box surround sound "systempie" )
Here's the specs cos I do not fully understand earphone jargon that well :walled:
Acoustic system: open
Frequency response: 15 - 22 000 Hz
Impedance: 32 ohm
Maximum power input: 500 mW
Sensitivity: 100 dB
Speaker diameter: 40 mm
Question 2
Do I return these? Its just two days old...
Here's a link to the headphones
