So... Despite our recent house purchase having an electrical compliance certificate - there is stray current in the house...
Led lights that flicker when the switch is off, and even more fun, is the nice electrical tingle when touching the tap while showering!!
Is there any recourse against the electrician?
(Buyer has emigrated & I know did the electrical compliance in good faith - as, upon our professional house inspection, an unearthed plug was picked up, and the seller had the electrical compliance guy back in to fix it).
Clearly this electrician just ticked boxes, charges a whack, and is off... Anything that can be done about this? Threaten to report him to the electricians board or whatever it's called?
If there really is no recourse, can anyone please recommend a really reliable & reasonably priced electrician who can come identify and quote us on fixing the issue (in jhb)?
