I wasn't sure where to find someone to do this, so Looked on the Web. Their was a Company advertising the inspection for R550
Thought that was a fair price contacted them they came this morning.
They checked everything even went up in the Attic.
All seemed well they handed me the invoice for R550 which I paid in Cash.
I bet you know what's coming next
I asked if everything was OK.
The reply well yes and no. So out to the garage we go the Guy points to the DB box. Apparently its missing couple of those little sticker things. OK i say. And theirs only one LED light showing their should be 2. OK i say oh yes you need an additional 60 Amp fuse in their. He did tell me what for but i'm a bit Mutt & Jeff so it passed me by.
Then we go out to the box out side where the mains switch is. Apparently this has to have a sticker saying its a Mains and has to say Danger or something along those lines. Next we come to the Satellite dish which is not even connected
Yes you need an earth cable from their to the outside main. At this point i could see that R550 multiplying like a Horse racing accumulator.
I mentioned in passing that I had bought the House 2 years ago and that it had been given a Certificate with all the things he had mentioned needing doing.
That fell on Deaf ears.
So their going to send me an estimate for the work involved and when it's all done they can give me a Certificate.
How lucky am I
