Initially when hearing of Emotiva, I was concerned about the warranty and how they would would work. I was told that customer care was awesome and I'm the case of an issue, they'd actually send the part to South Africa if under warranty.
I'm currently confirming information and was pointed to their international warranty starting goods need to be sent back to US at the owners cost in the event of a service requirement. I'm still trying to determine whether they see 'service' and defect as the same ie they always want to me to send the unit back.
If that is the case, it effectively makes the units risky to purchsse because the prohibitive costs of shipping back to the US. In other words, if something fails that's the end of the unit.
Haven't previous owners had parts sent out?
Also annoys me they can't assist with an age of a unit unless I track the original owner, I transfer the warranty to my name and he contacts them!
