I am posting this here, before I go mainstream. The day I place an add in a newspaper I get in 10,000,000,000,000,000,000 CV's (of which 99.5% is crap and not worth the effort to open the email).
For those that does not know, I am in a partnership with a friend. Our company does Environmental Impact Assessments, Biological Assessments and various monitoring. I myself do mainly 95% of my time) acoustical assessments, mainly concentrating on Environmental Noise Impact Statements, dabbling in structural and architectural acoustics. I have one person that works with me on acoustics, but the workload has become sufficient so that we are starting to investigate the appointment of another person that we can train in acoustics and some general environmental management.
As a preference I would select a person with a B.Sc degree in electronics, but as a minimum the person should have some sort of formal training (3 year degree or diploma in an appropriate field/direction). Most important is a dynamic person that can impress me. Currently we have a person working for us that have no degree, not even matric maths and science, yet has proven to be a valuable employee.
