Entry level XLR vs Mid Level RCA

So even my Mcintosh system is not FULLY balanced. (technical)

I am not a big cable person, thus not sold on the benefits of XLR balanced.

For the price of entry level XLR (say R3000) you can get a decent quality RCA............ !!

What would you go for?
