Does anyone know what the details are behind essential deliveries only?
I sell a lot of Household cleaning and hygiene products, most importantly Jik and Dettol. My customers are up in arms that I'm not going to be delivering during lockdown, they are all saying that I fall part of essential deliveries and can deliver but the company im an agent for cant give me an answer either, I cant see them letting me deliver these goods without a note or letter from my Principal Company. My wife is in the medical field and she has been given a note that allows her to travel due to her work. Do I need the same thing or do I just contact the Police to get clearance from them first.
I'm not scared to go out and deliver but I also dont want to be a part of the problem of spreading this thing, but stuff like Jik is in demand at the moment and my customers are all bottom end cafes, spazza shops and independent wholesalers who cater to the billions of poorer people who are In need of these items more than any and urgently. My phone hasnt stopped ringing since the first case was recorded in SA.
