As a spin off from Kamikazi's reply at Lease or rent of hifi equipment about demonstrations it got me thinking about the ethics of going to a dealer to demo their equipment so you can source the equipment later either in the secondhand market or through a direct import.
In my opinion the dealer has been "taken advantage of" as he is carrying the cost of the demo equipment and their premises.
I suppose there are levels to this and I am interested in different perspectives if anyone would care to add their view.
