Telkom!

Today I spent a lot of time with Telkom staff. Once in the Telkom Shop and also on the telephone with no less than 3 other Telkom employees. They were consistently good. I had a few things to be sorted out and, although things did not go smoothly (their systems to blame), I was treated professionally, with patience and respect. I don't know if it is the luck of the draw or if Telkom has stepped up their customer care policies/training of late, but I came away well satisfied with their quality of service. Having tried to get my issues resolved twice before (unsuccessfully), this time the one guy would not let me go without ensuring that he had done his utmost to sort me out. Even after I told him that what had been achieved today was good enough, considering my previous experiences, he insisted that he help me sort out the last niggle. And when he contacted a person from another department, he was equally pro in how he communicated with her (both of them were, in fact).
It was somewhat exhausting, but ultimately a satisfying experience.
