My driving license did expire during lockdown. But those driving licenses were extended till 31 March 2022 by the Minister of Transport. I did not yet went to renew it. So today, in a roadblock, I was given a fine. Despite me trying to explain the validity was extended till 31 March. They knew nothing of it. I do not want to pay admission of guilt. From were can I print something out that is short and easy to read when I must go and plead my case. I wonder why the traffic officials are not properly briefed or trained regarding the fact that drivers licenses were extended.
The machine printing the cards are not even in this country. So what is the point to renew if you are driving with a valid extended license in the first place?
