I discovered this afternoon my 37-yearold cheque account with the same Absa branch is under 'Fica lockdown'.
No warning, nothing at all. Nothing has changed during the past 37 years and all details they have about me is still exactly the same as they already have.
It was when I called their "Business" contact centre when I discovered this situation. According to the smug female I spoke to, I should have received written communication, email or sms but there were nothing of the sort.
Has Absa done this to anyone here?
