Ok, so as per an earlier thread, i'm resurrecting an F5 build that i started some years ago. This is the Gecko version with the boards he designed. I never could finish it, so i bought all new components from diyaudiostore to start fresh. As i started to prep the case and rip out the existing stuff, i came across a few schoolboy errors that explain why i could never get it running. So now i'm slowly testing and putting everything back.

I've got the PSU up running, measuring 25v across both rails. Very nice.

1st question is, what is the correct way to run the power on/off LED? I've got it in parallel with the DC+ circuit running from the bridge rectifier into the capacitor PCB V+ on one leg (with a 3.9k resistor just before the led), and ground on the other leg. It works fine, but when i switch the amp off it stays on for about 20 seconds. I can see that this is about how long it takes for the DC voltage to drain, obviously because of the caps. So, do i need to put in a snubber cap after the led?
