Has anyone else listened to Fasil Say on piano? (CD/LP or live, I understand he's been to Cape Town).
This guy is unbelievable on the Steinway.
I have (had?) this almost religious following of Murray Perahia when it comes to any Beethoven piano works, but Mr Say is breaking into this circle of trust. He is absolutely phenominal. Just one thing, he murmurs along in the background while playing which can be distracting.
Opinions on Mr Say (on Beethoven or other works of his)?
