Faulty CD Tray

Hi all,
I have a Denon DCD-685 CD Player where the tray does not eject properly if it is empty. It seems there is an issue where the magnet prevents the lens from dropping.
Is there a way to fix this by perhaps lubricating the correct part or reducing the magnet's strength ?
