I love discovering new artists and am constantly on the lookout for new musicians/ bands I may enjoy. So I don't forget new discoveries I've enjoyed I'm going to list them in this thread.
Lissie - great songwriter with a wonderful voice and a real passion for her craft that comes through in her performances
Brandi Carlile - she and Lissie could've been sisters
A Fine Frenzy (Alison Sudol) - another very talented singer/ songwriter with a gift for melody second to none. 3 albums released, each a very good listen.
Vienna Teng - very nice voice, good songwriting, melody etc. Consistently delivers quality and has grown on me with each successive listen
Corrinne May - new artist for me. Nice vocals & songwriting. Instant appeal.
Nicole Atkins - songstress and songwriter supreme
Beth Hart - the last word in Blues Rock where women are concerned. What a voice and not afraid to use it when appropriate.
Grace Potter - she and Beth could've been sisters, both brilliant.
Richard Hawley - unique baritone, great songwriter, singer and guitarist. Writes stuff that matters.
Renaud Garcia-Fons - awesome on bass and I just love the gypsy flavour he brings as well as the raw emotion of his compositions. If his music doesn't carry you away check to see if you've a heartbeat.
Antonio Forcione - one of the best acoustic guitarists I've heard. Whether its a quiet piece or time to let rip, his passion and mastery is unmistakable and a privilege to experience.
Melody Gardot - immensely talented vocalist and songwriter that overcame adversity to pursue her passion, and lucky for us.
Vassilis Tsabropoulos - pianist and composer with a feel an touch second to none. This man's music reaches inside you and draws you in, he's impossible to ignore and it's not often I enjoy piano.
