So, here's the B&O which bugged and frustrated me for so long. I got it to play correctly several weeks ago and it has been sitting naked with the plates off in a place where the missus didn't want it. There is still a bit of an issue with the 45rpm speed but I will return to that later.
Yesterday, before I put it together, I decided to do something about the mechanical rocker switches under the control pad as these had become unreliable due to plastic fatigue so I replaced them with 7 micro switches. First, I had to remove the re-finished stainless plate on top, causing yet another repaint in satin clearcoat.
I also had to mill deeper cavities in each rocker as the switches were slightly taller than the originals and this was required to allow the plate to fit flush.
Anyway, here it is.
