Over the festive period, I had to ask myself...Who still shoots fireworks?! 1) It is illegal 2) Everyone knows of the negative factors regarding pets 3) It is a huge waste of money.
I had an argument with a neighbour firing off bombs that, I thought at one point was going to crack my windows. His argument was that they were doing it for the kids and celebrating. Would'nt it be a better excercise to take the cash you were going to spend on fireworks, walk into your nearest Crazy Store, buy toys, wrap the toys and deliver to the nearest childrens home??
I have got no problem with a fireworks SHOW, where you pay for entrance, and it is usually at a sporting ground away from a residential area.
