I was searching for speakers I saw and figured it would be best to ask here. I saw a set of Wharfedale 10.0 Diamond (5.1 with a diamond mx sub) for sale for R3000 at Cash Converters, they also have a 9.0 system for the same price.
I live in a town house so can't really get a massive system to blow the neighbor's hair back, but figured I want something more than just the normal TV sound. My questions are,
* How are these speakers? I know they aren't top of the line at all or anything as such, but would I be happy at least?
* Is it worth the money and is the price good?
* Also, how much will I be looking at spending on receivers etc? And what else do I need?
* Would it be better getting one of those "complete 5.1" systems that Samsung and such have?
I have a HTPC that I play all my movies from in a proper format. Not in the market for a BR player really.
I'd appreciate any feedback or responses.
