Fixing Bookshelf speakers to stands

I'm in need of a recommendation on securing bookshelf speakers to the speaker stand it sits on to prevent accidental falling e.g if the wire's pulled.
I don't want to use Prestik as it will stain the speaker surface (finish).
Are there any other recommendations ? I see Builders sell's a product called Rubber Tac made byb Croc Grip. Is this an option ?
