Are there any parameters to determine when using a relatively large floorstanding speaker when to set it to small or large on the receiver? I think I read somewhere that the THX standard is to set all speakers to small irrespective of physical size when using a sub.
I have tried both settings and in general setting my front and centre speakers to large sounds best to me, but there are some music DVDs which seem to sound "fuller" when the setting is changed to small although these are in the minority.
