A little tip if flies piss you off no end as they do me.
I make our own kitchen cleaner with water, isopropanol, bleach and a tiny bit of RB10 engine cleaner.
Works a treat in the kitchen and on tiles.
So this fly cruises past, I set my blaster to a moderately tight beam with mostly mist and give it a pew pew.
It makes like a fly and drops.
Looks like the solution makes them blind because they are very much alive but they just bounce around when you poke them.
I scoop them up on a zapper racket, fry them a bit. If you pot one on the ceiling they drop in a parabola so you can catch it on the bat.
They can fly again after a minute or so.
The liquid dries in seconds and seems mostly harmless. Probably be best to not go mad on curtains or upholstery.
