Hey Forumdoritos

In my other life I rent out party stuff like jumping castles to people planning great moments.

A few days ago, someone makes a booking for a jumping castle.  Says he will pay when he comes to fetch.  He shows up on Friday and we have the whole transaction on camera.

The next day he calls.  Turns out he is a courier (yet he paid for the goods).  The actual customer refused to pay him because he didn't show up with the goods.  He says he didn't showup because they didn't send him the address when he asked for it.  Blah blah blah, blah blah blah the story goes.  But,  you can see, this is their matter, not us.

We then ask him to return our castle and he refuses to do so until he is paid, by us.  He wants half the money.  I am pissed and I want to come collect at my cost he refuses to say where he is, until he is paid.  My wife, one of those poor souls who come from the real heaven where good people are made, sends him half the money by cellphone payment.  He takes the money and says his wife is now refusing to allow him to return the castle until all his money is transferred.

I sit down and "Wooooosaahhhh......" and decide lets go open a case of theft.  We go to the police.  The dude calls every 5 mins but when we pick up he drops the phone, when we call back he doesn't pick up.  Every 5 minutes.  We get to the station and he calls again, this time he speaks and we give the phone to the man of the law who says he is going to lock his sorry arsh up.

Anyways, to cut the long story short, tomorrow we will get his address from the Metro Police or Traffic department and the police are heading there to sort this out.  If his car is not stolen, we will get him.  We have written the castle off as gone but we will go through all the process to get it back.

Last night at 23h30 he calls my wife a few times, when she picks up he drops the phone.

The degree of screwed-upness of some people, sometimes defies the laws of nature.

But now, because of this one piece of nitrogen deficient  :cr@p: we are changing the rule and no longer allow first-time customers to fetch for themselves.  Now everybody will be inconvenienced, including us because it allows us to push more product per given time.

Anyways, people, keep a watchfull eye for the nincoms out there.
