I'm listening to Dan Patlansky's rendition of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" on Foobar. Great cover, btw. Listening to the words, its definitely not a tame or sentimental gospel song. So I wondered what was going on in his mind when he wrote this.
So I do what any sane person would do, type in "lyrics meaning" in Chrome and the suggestions popped up in the bottom: "lyrics meaning hallelujah", completing my thoughts for me. Conveniently it takes me to the Google search page for same.
This brings me to wondering if Google is checking out what I am reading and listening to and then assist me with my search. Its happened in the past that I read a word or phrase I'm not familiar with, I highlight it on the screen and start typing in the word, which google then quickly comes back with a suggestion, identical to my highlighted section.
Clever or "Big Brother" spy? I think both....
