Hi all. I have a FreeNas NAS that we built for me in a Proliant Server box. I am no programmer, but i thought that I'd go FreeNas and then teach myself how to manage it by learning basic BSD and basic network engineering. I think i was kidding only myself that this approach would work and have found myself far too busy to invest the required time to learn Freenas/BSD. Needless to say this has been fine for all the time that my FreeNas has worked flawlessly, but leaves me totally helpless now that i see to have a problem. I really don't want to face the wrath of the knowledgeable from this forum in my giving up on the process of self-help, but I think the learning curve is just too steep and my diary too full! I don't want to break forum rules, but is there anyone out there who does this for a living who can help me? It's about 18TB of data, so my enthusiasm in losing it due to my hamfisted attempts to self-help is low! If there is a more appropriate forum for me to ask for professional help, i'd welcome being pointed there, else PM me!
