Full HD LCD vs. Full HD Plasma

What are the main differences between the 2, besides price of course. 

I've been offered a FHD 42" Plasma (Samsung) for R4500 brand new, was just wondering what the drawbacks of plasma would be over LCD/LED.

It'll be used for TV viewing mostly, not sports (not a fan of sports), I'll upgrade to the DSTv HD offerings, and DVD/Bluray viewing mostly. The occasional Wii usage too.

Any input welcome.
