Hey guys,
Can any one tell me why the Eco Route HD dongle is not available in south Africa?
They sell the GPS's that are capable of using it, but not the dongle it self.
It transmits information from your car's ECU via Bluetooth to the Garmin unit. These are all standard protocols that are not country dependent.
So why limit us from using this functionality.
This makes the whole Eco Route function almost obsolete :-(
You have to rely on averages etc, which makes the readings highly inaccurate. For instance, I would give a bit of gas then coast the car on a downhill, then Garmin reports that I'm not driving very economical even though my dash displays fuel usage of between 0 and 1 L / 100km
