Loving the new Garmin Virb camera which is incredibly easy to shoot with during action-sports and has exceptional battery life. (GoPro being complete polar opposite)
However when it comes to video editing, it seems to require a seriously hefty PC hw spec to process and consume it all:
VirbEdit 4.1: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/mac-windows-software/windows-software/virb-edit-aa/74803-minimum-system-requirements?137309-Minimum-system-requirements=
VirbEdit 5.1: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/mac-windows-software/windows-software/virb-edit-aa/158718-
Just bought a HP 8710w workstation laptop & hope this makes the HCL cut: (https://support.hp.com/ee-en/document/c01093115)
Plan for new laptop:
- upgrade OS to Win7 64-bit (current CPU T9300 Core 2 Duo @ 2.5Ghz)
- upgrade system RAM from 4GB - 8GB
- upgrade 80GB SATA to Samsung SSD 750 EVO III 500GB
Any experience with VirbEdit to share - :teach: barring the laptop's limited RAM but powerful GPU (EDIT: NVIDIA Quadro FX-3600M with 512 MB) , i trust it will make the cut. >>
