Garrard 401 spindle oil?

The time has come to give my Garrard 401 a service, can anyone please advise as to what oil I should use for the spindle bearing? Suggestions I have found on various online forums seems to range from 3 in 1 oil to Mobil 1 motor oil and about 10 other types of oil.  :nfi:
