Tonight (07/05/05) I noticed somthing strange in the on KT66 tube of my QUAD set.
The secondary grid (upper most few windings) of the one tube glows, and not the ordanary purple glow! The actual wire is white-hot...!
Is this normal or should I start worrying? I turned the amp off and will be using my two Marconi tubes in the defective one...
Urrrgh! Looks like time is really drawing near for a new set of tubes.
