Hi Guys,
I am looking to build one of Geco's MM phono stages and would love to build a power amp as well. I intend using my TubeMagic D1 Plus Edition as a preamp, maybe using a Geco Velvet as the power amp. I intend using my NAD 533 and Lenco L75 with the MM phono, and would like to drive my Tannoy 637's with the power amp. I cannot find a review on the Velvet amp, will that suit what I am trying to do here? If not the Velvet, what other DIY power amp options do I have? Then, for the sake of convenience, I'd love to have some sort of "speaker switch" solution that will allow me to keep using the Tannoy 637's as my fronts in my AV setup, but then switch them to the power amp for listening to vinyl/hi-res digital. I am not looking at spending silly money, my front end kit will not justify that. Just want a decent MM phono, pre/power combo to power the Tannoy 637's for my vinyl needs. Then, I also run the Tannoys bi-wired and bi-amped at the moment, what will I need to keep at least the bi-wiring in place from the DIY power amp?
Thanks!
