These motors are famous to work for about 18 -24 months then something on the control board breaks. The gate techies then always replace the board with a new one and charge you R200
Now I've heard something that is just a transistor that goes.
In other words chances are that new board you buy is just a reconned board.
Any one with informatio on this? What transistor etc? If the transistor only lasts 18 month then obviously something stronger is needed. Going to try and fix this myself..
For about a month the remote started to longer and longer to respond, until it stopped responding completely...
