Getting into DIY

Hi Guys

I'm interested at getting into the DIY audio space and am look for some advice on where to start. I used to build electronics when I was in school, but it was really simple stuff e.g. flashing LEDs etc. and that was many years ago.

I started looking around eBay and found a large amount of DIY build it yourself kits. for my first project.

I'm also looking for some basic tutorials on soldering, if I remember my dad spoke about a book called 'the art of soldering.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
