Getting it to sound better

Hey everyone

Can this be done? I have a few different turntables one of which is a Technics SL-QD33 and for ease of use I seem to favour this one. For this reason I have yet again broken my last needle and is struggling to find replacements. My question is can this head be changed with another type which the needles are more readily available? Is it trial and error ? Does anyone perhaps have some recommendations
