Question for the guys that have knowledge of electricity.
Is it a good thing to switch of supply at the main switch (at the DB) during an outage? The aim being i think to avoid damage once the power goes back on. Due to the possibility of a sudden surge perhaps? And how long after power is back on does one switch the mains on again?
I hear some people do this.
