I recall a recent sale of a refurbished SCA35 and the relatively soon thereafter resale of the little integrated for more or less similar impressions I mention below.

I am used to valve amps (been living with my precious Leak Stereo 20 for 2 decades) and have absolutely no complaints about the charming gent who did the job for me, nor do I have any complaints about the firstclass workmanship but for some reason I expected a little more 'bite' and 'ooomph'. Afterall, the Dynaco has a few more Watts to play around with than the 10w/ch Leak.

I have owned it totally untouched since it was factory built and played it for several years off and on but in recent years, it developed a few hairraising crackles when warming up so couldn't postpone repairs any longer.

I did a lot of internet reading about the amp over the years and only read good things about it but rightly or wrongly, I'm busy forming the idea that its reputation could have been a little...errr...overblown.

Any more current user impressions?
