Hey guys, Just a quick one...

I have just finnished building a stand out of some granite that I had. All seems well and stable and everything fits reasonably well although it is maybe a little high, but that is fixable.

My problem is that last night once I had finnished setting everything up and had everything powered up I went to the stand to move the AVR back to centre I got a little tingle when I touched both the granite shelf and the AVR case! What felt like definate current passing through me between the two contact points.
Not having a clue about earths and grounding etc :-[ I cr@pped myself and immediatly powered EVERYTHING down.

What can be causing this? I assume it is VERY VERY bad for my gear and what can I do to fix this?

Mods, if I have posted this in the wrong spot could you please move it over? Thanks!

Thanks in advance all!

Adrian
