I picked up a Thorens TD-2001 turntable from a fellow forumite recently. The more I listen the more I like...

As I received it with a 2M Blue doing the reading...

First order was to sort out the auto-lift. There is no service manual on VE for the auto-lift but the TD-320 pretty much has the same base expect for the bearing so I used the procedure set out in there...

Notice the leaf springs with wire strain type system for levelling...

Next up was to fit my favourite cart on. Denon DL-110... I also took the opportunity to clean and oil the bearing...

Just the other day I came across some  Audio Technica AT-605 isolation feet so I thought i would chuck those in the mix. They work out well as my HiFi stand is a little uneven - the isolation feet are adjustable for height...

Very low noise levels with great detail and a very even presentation. It never feels like the table is colouring the music in any particular way. Speed stability and accuracy is excellent...

So what do I want to do to the table?

Nothing much really. I would like to get the auto-lift to just lift the arm but not stop the platter. I cringe a bit having to turn the table on again after each side as the belt, motor and suspension stabilise...
